Jessa grew up in a small town in the Texas Hill Country near Austin. Her parents were always involved in ministry through the local church as worship leaders, and they co-founded a private Christian college-prep school in 1999 where Jessa graduated High School. She went on to receive her Bachelor's in Bible with an emphasis in Family Ministry from MCC and a minor in Worship Ministry. Jessa is a creative through and through and enjoys serving the Church through praise and worship leading, graphic design, and the written word. She fills her days homeschooling her three boys (7th, 2nd, and 1st grade), taking care of their animals, and making their family home a place of peace, warmth, and refuge. She enjoys being outside with her family, playing the piano and singing, reading, and homesteading.

Marcus spent much of his childhood in a small farming community in Illinois until his family relocated to Spring Hill, Kansas where he graduated High School. He participated in the dual degree program between Kansas State University and Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kansas, eventually receiving his Bachelor's in Bible with an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry. He is now working toward his Masters of Divinity online at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Marcus enjoys serving the Church through preaching, teaching the Bible, and cultivating community through small groups. He met Jessa at MCC, and they were married the summer before their senior year. Together, they have three beautiful sons (Jude, Noah, and Aiden) and are happily raising them on a 5 acre homestead about an hour west of Austin, Texas. He and Jessa also own an electrical contracting business that he manages while doing bi-vocational ministry as often as he can. He is passionate about serving the Lord and His Church. He enjoys spending time with his family, studying Scripture, and reading theological non-fiction.
